This letter is being written on behalf of The Board of Directors of Serena Owners Association.

The Board of Directors of Serena Owners Association is pleased to provide and evaluation of Mike Dicks. Mr. Dicks was hired in 1999 to represent the Association in a construction defect claim against the developer and various subcontractors.

Mr. Dicks and his team reviewed maintenance records, governing documents, surveys and other documents to compile a list of claims to be made on behalf of the Association, and advised the Board of the options afforded to the Association. Mr. Dicks was instrumental in negotiating a settlement with the developer and various subcontractors totaling 2.6 million dollars. Mr. Dicks and his team were available to respond to all inquiries about the process and provided advice on how to proceed with reconstruction. Mr. Dicks, and the staff at Dicks & Coglianese, have been consistently poised and professional.

Mr. Dicks has been successful in collecting virtually all the funds due to the Association, and continues to collect from subcontractors who have not been forthcoming. His firm provides a monthly statement of account to advise of the progress and the funding available.

Construction defect litigation is a long and arduous task, and Mr. Dicks and his team made the Board feel confident and well informed at every turn.
