Michael Dicks has spent over 15 years helping thousands of homeowners and homeowner associations successfully recover millions of dollars from construction defect litigation. A respected member of the American Bar Association and the State Bars of Arizona and California; Mr. Dicks is also a member of the Arizona, San Diego and Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Associations, and is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys of California. Mr. Dicks is also an active member of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and a founding member of the California Association of Community Managers (CACM). A featured speaker at several CAI National Conferences, he has toured the country lecturing on many aspects of construction defect litigation. In 1998, he was named “Member of Year” by the CACM. Mr. Dicks graduated Cum Laude from the California Western School of Law after receiving his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University. In addition, Mr. Dicks studied international law overseas through Regent College of Law.
Since 1997, Christopher Coglianese has specialized in plaintiff construction defect litigation. He has been instrumental in the recovery of millions of dollars necessary to effect repairs resulting from careless construction. As partner in Dicks, Coglianese, Lipson & Shuquem, Mr. Coglianese is involved in the day-to-day operations for the firm; from overseeing written discovery and depositions to managing all aspects of mediations and trials. Because of his extensive litigation experience, Mr. Coglianese is a leading spokesperson on all matters relating to construction defect litigation, and a frequent guest speaker at the Community Associations Institute (CAI) National Conference and West Coast Casualty Seminar. A licensed attorney in California and Arizona, Mr. Coglianese is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Federal, State and local Bar Associations in both California and Arizona Mr. Coglianese is an active member of the Orange County Regional, Central Arizona and San Diego Chapters of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and is a member of California Association of Community Managers (CACM). Additionally, Mr. Coglianese is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and has been instrumental in assisting CAOC protect California home purchaser’s right to sue for construction defects. A graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Mr. Coglianese received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Mr. Lipson has successfully represented hundreds of homeowners and homeowner associations in construction defect litigation. With an extensive background in real estate development, construction and business, Mr. Lipson is in the firm’s primary contact person for all new cases and current clients. Mr. Lipson is a member of the Arizona Bar Association and the Arizona Trial Lawyer’s Association. He is an active member of the Central Chapter of the Community Association Institute serving as Chair of the Publications Committee as well as a member of the Long Range Planning Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Arizona Chapter of CAI, and an active member of the Arizona Association of Community Managers. Mr. Lipson earned his law degree from Arizona State University after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from historic Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Additionally, Mr. Lipson earned an Advanced Certificate in International Study from the renowned American Graduate School of International Management. An Arizona native, Mr. Lipson currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mr. Shuquem joined the Law Offices of Dicks, Coglianese, Lipson & Shuquem as a senior associate in 2003. He has extensive experience in construction law and commercial litigation, and specifically focuses on the representation of homeowners and homeowner associations involved in construction defect litigation. Mr. Shuquem is licensed in California, Arizona and in the District of Arizona Federal Court. He is a member of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, the Community Associations Institute, and the Arizona Association of Community Managers. Mr. Shuquem attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, graduating with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Communication Studies. Mr. Shuquem obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco Law School, where he was a member and Articles Editor of the Law Review. Mr. Shuquem resides with his family in Phoenix, Arizona.
